FAQ's

Nothing complicated. Just doing all we can to give you confidence in us..

How did this idea come about?

From the Founder's point of view - it was a personal love of visiting farmers markets and farm shops that bought me here. I love the atmosphere and community empowerment these places have, not to mention the food is often far better for your health and directly supports the locals and with fewer food miles. However, I found that I would often leave empty handed, or with items I didn't actually need, as the fresh produce I was after was not always available. Inevitably, this would always lead to disappointed trudge to the supermarket or corner shop to buy far less inspiring produce. I was fed-up with this and thought, surely I am not the only person who would use a notification system for local produce. If an app were developed for it, it would be the number 1 app for my phone!

Is Strawbrry Line being launched as competition to veg boxes?

Absolutely not, as we said in our "The Why" section, we see Strawbrry Line as being a supplementary option to those producers who may already offer veg boxes. There is a significant portion of people who would prefer to shop in person for their food and we want to make sure these people can have a convenient in person option to support their local producer.

Why do I need Strawbrry Line? I am doing just fine and I would rather be left to get on with my business.

We agree! Being left to get on with your business that you have no doubt nurtered through thick and thin is absolutely what we want to achieve but we want to ensure you get more time to do this, especially as society develops! Strawbrry Line will assist you in advertising your business to our audience for free. As we develop we would like to build mechanisms into the consumers membership which will allow them to send you a notification on when they plan on arriving and what they plan on purchasing. We don't want you to be bombarded with notifications which is why this is in development and we will work closely with you to ensure our solution works for you.

We hope this will help you have more time to grow and nurture your business and less time trying to deal with the marketing and IT. Plus, you will likely see less wasted produce, and with these purchasing insights you can have more confidence in growing to demand.

You're talking a lot about the broader community and economy benefits, where does this actually fall into the Strawbrry Line solution?

The Strawbrry Line solution is the consumers location based notifications which inform the consumer of all producers stall openings,  stall closure alerts in the event of adverse weather or unforeseen circumstances as well as produce stock updates. The Strawbrry Line solution also supports producers in marketing their business on the Strawbrry Line website and will develop a charcismatic profile for each producer for free.

We talk about the convenience and community as being the two themes our solution revolves around and we identify further co-benefits to our solution in the section on Co-benefits and in our Why section.

What's in it for Strawbrry Line?

You could consider it a passion project at the core. To progress this project to have meaningful impact and create change funding will be obtained through monthly memberships for consumers will buy into to receive the service.

Where is Strawberry Line based?
